Here is a list of our frequently asked questions

Unified Development Code

A UDC is a combined regulatory code including zoning, subdivision, and other development codes including signage, landscaping and parking.

The UDC includes regulations regarding setbacks, heights, and amount of building allowed to be developed. If you are looking to improve your property whether a resident or business owner, the UDC will guide you on how to do that.

A comprehensive plan is a vision by the community that guides decision makers in the direction of the city and where our target should be over 20-30 years. This document is the regulatory basis for zoning map changes, transportation and utility infrastructure planning, and an adopted vision created by the community.

The Comprehensive Plan affects all residents, businesses, and visitors to the City of Justin because it guides development on where it can be located, how it can be developed, and what development is allowed to do.

The Comprehensive Plan is used everyday for discussions on development growth, capital improvement plans, zoning requests and adjusting municipal policies around outcomes created in the document.
